Q: Why are you performing in two locations?
A: We are creating access—meaning, we know that Hmong and Lao communities live in different parts of the Twin Cities, and sometimes it is challenging to travel far. We hope that presenting the show in two locations will make it easier for people to see the show.
Q: Why are you offering free tickets to some organizations?
A: There are many communities, including the Hmong and Lao, who have never seen theater before. Or they may not be able to afford tickets. We want to not only present plays. We want to make it easier for people to see them and we want to build a theater-going community.
Q: How many tickets can my group access?
A: We would recommend about 10 tickets per group, but we are willing to work with everyone on a case-by-case basis. So, tell us what you need, and we will see if we can accommodate you.
Q: Is this play family-friendly?
A: We don’t believe in censorship, so the play will include some swear words and sexual references. We’d recommend this play to high school students and up. Use your own judgment.
Q: What language will this be in?
A: The play will be 99% in English. We will provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting on select nights. We hope that regardless of language barrier, people can still appreciate it anyway.
Q: What about transportation?
A: We have a limited transportation budget, but ask one of our liaisons anyway. We can offer bus passes, reimburse your staff for mileage or gas. Or, it’s possible we may be able to arrange for a shuttle bus.
